The Ask
As a UX/UI Designer at Bibliography.com, I was responsible for designing intuitive, accessible, and visually engaging experiences that supported users in generating and managing citations with ease. My work included user research, wireframing, high-fidelity UI design, and prototyping for both web and mobile platforms. I collaborated closely with product managers and developers to ensure user-centered design solutions aligned with the platform’s educational mission and usability standards. The Design
Create a clean, distraction-free search interface Provide fast and relevant book results with visual cues Enable filtering between different content types (book, article, website, etc.) Ensure mobile accessibility and ease of use.
UI Choices A light, neutral color scheme for high readability and contrast Rounded corners and soft shadows to modernize the visual feel Visual hierarchy is maintained through font sizing, spacing, and bold titles CTA buttons (Search, Enter Manually) are clearly distinguished in blue
UX Highlights
Tabbed Navigation at the top allows users to switch between book, website, article,movies, songs,dictionary,newspaper,chapter, write citation and more. Search Field & Results Display are grouped visually, with search intent (“Start-up”) clearly returning matching results. Result Cards include cover image, title, author, publisher, year, and language — offering quick scanning and comparison. Fallback Entry Option via "Enter Manually" ensures accessibility and flexibility.
The Takeaway
The result is a sleek, user-friendly interface concept for a content discovery platform, optimized for mobile devices with a focus on clarity, speed, and user control.
