WordFinder
UX/UI Designer – WordFinder App
The task
At WordFinder, a word game companion app, I led UX/UI design tasks to enhance gameplay assistance, search functionality, and overall user engagement. I focused on optimizing the user flow for players looking to find words, solve anagrams, and improve performance in games like Scrabble®
The Design
-Improved navigation and visual hierarchy for better accessibility across devices. -Collaborated with developers to implement a clean, responsive UI aligned with gaming aesthetics. -Conducted usability testing to fine-tune the experience based on player feedback. -This role combined utility-driven design with playful UI to support a diverse community of word game enthusiasts.
The development
I worked closely with the Unity development team to bring design concepts to life in a performant, cross-platform app. Our collaboration involved an iterative process from wireframes to implementation, ensuring that design intent was preserved while optimizing for Unity’s capabilities.
The Takeaway
Design Handoff & Asset Preparation: Delivered UI assets, interaction specs, and motion guidelines via Figma and Zeplin, ensuring all components were Unity-ready (e.g., sliced images, optimized sprites, and font settings for dynamic text). Responsive Layout System: Partnered with developers to implement a flexible layout using Unity’s UI Toolkit and Canvas system, enabling consistency across different screen sizes and devices.
